Kowloon Park is one of the main public parks in . The current park opened in 1970 after the redevelopment of the Whitfield Barracks, an army base manned by the English with a good view over Victoria Harbour. Today much of this view is obscured by the high rise office blocks, appartments and hotels of Hong Kong. In 1989 Kowloon Park was again refurbished to provide Tsim Sha Tsui with the park it has today, right next to Nathan Road, one of the most famous shopping streets in Hong Kong.

In 2008, the Jockey Club HSBC WWF Hong Kong Hoi Ha Marine Life Centre officially opened.
